Annette LongAnnette was born and raised in the Feltonville section of Philadelphia. Her father was a Korean War Veteran and factory worker and married a Puerto Rican immigrant. Annette is the oldest of four girls and is a 1983 graduate of the Philadelphia High School for Girls (Class of 227). In 1993 she graduated with honors from the American Institute for Paralegal Studies. Annette is highly engaged in the paralegal profession and was among the first to pass the Paralegal CORE Competency Exam and is also a credentialed Pennsylvania Certified Paralegal. Having postponed her college education to raise her children, Annette has attended college part-time and will graduate in June 2019 with a Bachelors Degree focusing on Legal Studies in Business.

Having moved to Montgomery County in 1985, and working as a Paralegal since 1993, Annette has been and continues to be a leader in her profession. She served as President of the Montgomery County Paralegal Association for three (3) terms and is also involved with paralegals at the State and National levels. Annette served as a delegate to the Keystone Alliance of Paralegal Associations and served as the Bar Association Committee Coordinator with the National Federation of Paralegal Associations. Annette’s dedication as a Trustee of the Montgomery Bar Foundation solidified her passion and commitment with access to justice and in giving back to the community. Grants awarded by the Foundation have been used to help the elderly, homeless, victims of domestic violence, troubled and underprivileged youth, and many other individuals and families in need. Working at a non-profit organization with survivors of domestic violence and those with limited income, Annette has seen firsthand how communities are affected by abuse, drug addiction, and mental illness.

Annette is fluent in Spanish and has volunteered with Wills for Heroes, Montgomery County Mock Trial competition, has assisted with translation for clients in PFA Court and spends many hours attending and teaching Continuing Legal Education Classes. With her extensive legal experience and leadership positions within the legal community, Annette knows what it takes to keep an operation running smoothly and focused on the things that truly matter. Having worked for some of the top law firms in the area for years, Annette brings decades of experience and legal understanding to a position in which high standards and incredible work ethic are important. Annette has had a life-long passion to fight for what is right and fair. As Supervisor she will not only bring experience but also her passion and determination to institute positive change.
