First and foremost, I am a family man. I am a dedicated husband and the proud father of two young boys who attend elementary school in the North Penn School District. I have been married to my beautiful wife for nearly ten years. Family means the world to me.
It has been my pleasure to serve the community as a volunteer in a variety of capacities over the past twenty years. While attending high school and college, I coached basketball for North Penn Special Olympics. It was a wonderful experience that had a positive impact on my life. Now that I have children of my own, I am heavily involved in Hatfield-Towamencin Baseball. From coaching and scheduling, to handling equipment, to organizing within the leagues committee, I truly get to enjoy every aspect of the experience. Anyone who knows our family knows how much we Kulps love baseball, especially our home team. Go Phillies!
In regard to my career, I have been a dedicated member of the transportation departments of two local school districts: North Penn and Norristown. My career began at North Penn when I was just sixteen years old. Today I work as a school bus and vehicle technician for Norristown School District. Through my work I have learned a great deal about the alternative forms of fuel which are more environmentally friendly. I am a man who loves the outdoors, and I am always looking for ways to do my part to keep it a safer and cleaner place for us all to enjoy.
I attended college at Temple University and majored in elementary education. I also took courses in geography and urban development, two subjects of personal interest to me.
I have seen a lot of change come to our area. Farmland has disappeared, housing developments have grown rapidly and grocery store chains have come and gone.
Change is inevitable, but I want to make sure that all voices in this community are represented. We must seek solutions that prioritize the safety of our residents and maintain the beauty of our area.
